The first time

bevan tse stuart

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Two years have past since that night and I still think about it

I remember your words.

‘How far do you want to take this?’

I remember how I felt

I knew what you meant but I pretended I didn’t

I remember my reply

‘Well one day I’d like to marry you’

I remember how much I meant it. How much I loved you.

And you just looked at me, amazed

Shocked that I had the guts to say that within a second of you asking.

How it had taken me nearly 2 months to pluck up the courage to ask you out

And now a year later I’d said that.

I remember the look in your eyes when I said it.

I remember how I felt.

I’d never spoken so much truth in my life

How far do you want to take this?

I’d like to marry you one day.
