Remember life without the flaws
Your head inside a lion's jaws
A rebel born without a cause
Memories that filled your heart
Remember everything was new
Your innocence was fed and grew
Your suitors formed a motley crew
Memories that filled your heart
Remember when you nibbled bait
The look of love the taste of hate
He took you on that debut date
Memories that filled your heart
Remember that kiss on your lips
His roaming hands your curvy hips
The buttons open with the zips
Memories that filled your heart
Remember when he walked away
And left you sobbing where you lay
A bit part in his sordid play
Memories that break your heart

Thank you LIZ
Good to hear it was enjoyed
Extremely grateful
I remember reading this on ‘ all poetry ‘ a while back ..
A great writing , strong words
I think some people are selfish /thoughtless and they don’t care if they hurt someone .. at least this is what your poem made me think of
Some things seem so nice then they go all wrong .. and you realise the person isn’t as nice you thought they were ..
Good memory Violet
Thank you
Aye
It's a minefield out there
For me anyway
Truly appreciate your time and support
That was me.
Snap

Thank you Christina
I always try to rhyme
Much appreciated
A splendid read, musical almost, even. The closing is marvelous and beautiful. The stuff acoustic love songs are made of. Well done dear poet.
So very kind Garth
