my turn

Over the years a lot of things hurt me. but one that truly hit me is that people will treat you exactly how they feel about you. They're gonna do what they want regardless of your feelings, your history, or the bond. and if that means getting up and walking out of your life, they're gonna do it. and the sad part is, you can't do anything about it. you can try to chase them, beg them to stay, but their decision has already been made. I've realized that no matter how good you are to a person, that won't make them good to you. And people are always gonna do what's best for them. but now it's my turn to do what's best for me. i only have one life to live and i refuse to hold it back because of one person.
