The Heart That Never Forgets

Gorgorix

Once upon a time, in the days of youth's embrace,

A love story unfolded, innocent in its grace.

Her face, a vision of beauty, brought endless delight,

Each smile, each kiss, painted memories so bright.

Those blissful days linger, unforgettable and pure,

As I recall the moments, love's allure.

An old picture holds her essence, frozen in time,

A glimpse of happiness when my heart was in its prime.

But memories, elusive, like clouds in the sky,

They dance and fade, no matter how hard I try.

A melancholic tune plays, echoing in my soul,

A bittersweet reminder of a love I cannot control.

As years pass, I grow older, and it's harder to forget,

Yet, life's journey beckons, and I must reset.

Though etched in my heart, a scar that still remains,

I move forward, carrying love's enduring strains.

In quiet moments, I reminisce with wine and melodies,

The past rushes back, like waves on tranquil seas.

But amidst the longing, a newfound strength arises,

From the sadness, lessons learned, resilience crystallizes.

Life mirrors the sea, with its calm and storms in flight,

Clear skies, rough waters, a rainbow's radiant light.

I find solace in nature's gifts, vibrant and true,

Green leaves, blooming flowers, a sky so blue.

With the passage of time, wisdom takes hold,

White hairs a testament to stories untold.

Love's spirit prevails, in the rhyme of my heart,

Guiding me forward, even as memories impart.

For though my first love lingers, a ghost from the past,

I embrace the present, knowing love will last.

In the vast expanse of life's celestial sphere,

I find solace, amidst moonlight and stars, so dear.
