How Life Goes

MrNobody40

Left all that behind
Pushed past all my thoughts of it
Took over my mind
I try to outrun but I can't
A marathon a day
But my feet still hurt from it
And I can't feel all my toes

What did I see
And what did I get from it
Have too many things
Societal ignorance
10 miles a day
To capture a glimpse of it
I guess that's just how life goes

I say I'm ok
They say I'll get over it
So many mistakes
I just try to swallow it
I take one more pill
I feel kind of numb from it
I guess that's just how life goes

    humanity calls it wisdom
    when taking two paracetamols
    before getting drunk, beginning
    to counter the aftereffects
of what we do to ourselves..
    crazy eh? lol
    (a relatable lament, worded well
    thanks for sharing)
