When Sleep Won\\\'t Come

lostmoon

Where are you?

Grab me

Please grab me

Rip your liberating claws into me, embrace my mind

Lull me into your deceptive peace

Encompass my being as a whole

For mere hours just

Let my existence cease to exist, I beg

Time and time again

In dark nights of agony

Unable to come to rest

Whatever have I done

To deserve your denial

Hitting me so hard

Instead of your soothing cold waves

All I get are voices tormenting my brain

Hug me, I beg

Let my mind stop running in circles and triangles and dead ends

Drown me in your endless sea

And perhaps gift me a tiny dream

That lasts still daybreak and beyond

I don't wish to linger in this realm

Nor to dwell in yours forever

So pull me in, cover me

Sink into my bones and skin

Into flesh and blood

Destroy me, revive me

My Lord, a little mercy

I'm lying ready in wait, so don't make me wait too long

Relieve my pain

Release my mind

Ease me into the lands of hopes and fears

Of dreams and tears

Of smiles and cries

Grasp my spirit and let it rest

For only you can take control

Nothing else can make it stop

If not for you

What can it do

But endlessly run, never at peace

Until one day, it'll burn and never recover

So catch me here and now,

Save my tired soul

I beg
