A bird sings lightly

Violet bluebell( used to be yellow rose)

A bird sings lightly in the blues

she sings of kindness

soft gentle tunes from a place of friendly feathers

she sings lightly in the blues

of kindness and cotton wool tunes

a bird lives in balance in a sea of comfortable calm

she sings her tune without a note of unkindness

without a note of thunder

singing her tune

a kindness whispers in the sky

we just have to listen

.. Me too .. & I do believe if one listens carefully enough and looks really hard, then one will find it in the end .. Neville

Dear friend you capture something very special in this poem. Just to watch these beautiful creatures bring a sence of tranquility. The dove is a symbol of peace for a good reason, and in their simplicity they may be wiser than us. This is a little gem, and a fav.

I believe there is a lot of wisdom we can learn from the creatures of this Earth. As you say, we just need to "listen." Birds in particular are certainly ones who speak out. They seem to know where the best place is for each purpose.
This is a wonderful poem. I loved some of your phrasing (i.e. A bird sings lightly in the blues, friendly feathers, cotton wool tunes, a kindness whispers in the sky.) Sweet words that make the sadness disappear. _ Phil A.

I looked earlier at ‘Ella hums the blues ‘ and I could see a song she wrote about a bird
