Forgive

You may be the victim

But revenge though very sweet

Will also bring regret

Of actions made in heat.

 

You’d like to fight back

When you are in the right

But it doesn’t serve much purpose

Just to show your might

 

Hurts fester like a sore

And will not cease

So learn to ignore them

For they may destroy your peace

 

So the lesson that life gives

Is to open up your heart

And let the poisonous thoughts

Away from you dart.

 

It’s hard to forget

And harder to forgive

But you have to let go

To relax, and live at ease
