Marmalade Fingers
I now much prefer
marmalade
to strawberry jam ..
In simple terms,
I like the unexpected
sharpness of it
dancing on my tongue ..

I've never had marmalade, so I'll take your word for it....sounds yummy!! C
my word, you don't know what you're missing .. it's one of them things you just gotta suck it and see π
lol!!! π
Orange marmalade is the best thing ever I always have it in my home. Neville such a sweet little poem β€οΈ
its certainly up there somewhere near the top of the list .. thanks Teddy β€οΈ
It's tangy sweetness transports me back to Mum's morning 'appointment' at the kitchen table and of course ties back rather neatly to Paddington Bear.
.................. ta for the thumbs up CB π»πππ§‘
That reminds me, we're out of jam here. Shall we try marmalade next? I will mix it with arsenic in KP's sandwich. heehee.
I'm horrible to her, but killing her off is going too far!
I am very much stuck in my ways as far as traditional orange marmalade is concerned .. ππ
Thanks M. Well, not arsenic, maybe cat food! lol. She gets catty if I don't give her more money for botox. lol.
Orange, lemon, or even lime marmalade?!
My slowly grinding pedestrian brain could find no meta meaning here. For how could I temper my craving when the word βMarmaladeβ is presented to me?
So I remain on the literal level and ask β Any tips? (My current infatuation is with a product contained in a long narrow jar which should be extracted with a specially designed porcelain spoonβ¦.)
thanks for diving in mate, much appreciated .. no tips I'm afraid except for maybe finger tips .. you should know by now a gent never tells .. I will say this tho, specially designed porcelain spoons are now collectors items .. if you've got one, look after it .. Neville
Cheers Neville; thanks for the advice - mine, used daily, free gift from a friend who had TWO is cherished, used with care.
Make sure it's made with Seville oranges, much more tangy. More of a hot Spanish dance on your tongue. A wonderful breakfast treat. I never met-a-4 I didn't like. - Phil A
I came, I saw, I concur .. me neither my friend .. cheers Phil, N
wisdom of taste, tongue to lips
flavours dance
with the passing of time we realise
sweetness in a purr or a lick
we just have to be open minded
to what we're offered in life..
(loving the wordplay, Hyung
a fun read
still, just glad you didn't take it
to marmite's levels
that's just irreversibly divisive
even as metaphor)
lol
................................... finger lickin good eh' .. so that is what a metaphor π
