Set Back

I was doing so good, and all of a sudden it came to a stop,

But I guess that is normal when you are trying so hard to reach to the top.

Sometimes I forget that you can't just run away from where you come from,

And it can be hard to keep going when everything inside of you is starting to go numb.

I have learned that failing every once in a while can actually lead to something good,

Because it might make you try things that you otherwise never thought you would.

Or maybe it will show you a new talent or something that you never knew you had,

And it can help you realize that maybe that failure wasn't really all that bad.

And that even though it doesn't seem like it, maybe your story is supposed to play out that way,

And the path that you thought you were supposed to be on was actually the one that was leading you astray. 

Maybe when you let go something good, something better is just around the bend,

That your journey is just now starting, even though you thought it was about to end.

One thing that I learned is that you have to keep going before you think you are ready to start,

Because everything may be falling into place, even though you may think that it is falling apart.

And that a setback is just a good something that is setting you up for a comeback,

And that you can keep going, even when you feel as if you are going to crack.

But if you keep going, and just take it one step at a time,

There is not river too deep, or no mountain that is too high for you to climb.
