No Matter What I Say Or Do by Richard Martin

No Matter I Say Or Do      by   Richard Martin                        209

I guess by now you know I love you, and I can’t help the way I feel

I know you doubt my love dear, but my love for you is real

I know that you’ve been hurt in the past, and for that, I pay every day

For you tell me that you don’t need me, you’re alone and you’re happy that way

You say I look so sad dear, I guess sweetheart that it’s true

But it’s hard for me to keep smiling when you hurt inside the way I do

You built such a wall around you, there’s no way I’ll ever get through

And you won’t let me inside dear, no matter what I say or do
