Love lost

zze

In shadows deep, where sad thoughts roam,

I'll scribble down this poem, all alone.

In the pale moonlight, I'll try to rhyme,

My heart's been hurt, my emotions a mess,

These lines might sound like a sad cliché,

I'm lost in the whirlwind of heartache and strife,

Trying to capture it in words, this messy life.

No more butterflies, no sparks in the air,

Just the ache of a love that's no longer there.

I write these words, hoping to mend,

So read this poem with an eye roll or two,

I won't blame you if it doesn't resonate with you.

But maybe, just maybe, you'll glimpse my pain,

A love unloved, this is how it's meant.
