Fear's enslavement

sorenbarrett

A traitor who will refuse, is a hero that ran

A coward with nothing to loose, becomes a brave man

Traders in pain that abuse, forgiveness does ban

Those empowered, who choose to save can

Courage only a token, now just awoken

With age whitened, fear vanished, resolve heightened

A word spoken, is not to be broken

Only those no longer frightened, can become enlightened

Powerful words my friend. I think you capture perfectly finding the moment of courage to act, it can come in so many different forms. Superbly written dear poet, and truly a fav.

      fear is misunderstood
      it isn't a weakness or a hurdle
it's a state of mind, designed
      by our evolutionary prerequisite's
to help us survive, if we but learn
      to utilise it, instead
of wagging a war against it..
      (but what do i know)
      Bella was right 'Powerful', indeed
      thank you! dear Poet
