Fragments of love.

Kate Krissy

In a quiet living room, a vase stood tall.
A fragile beauty admired by all.
With delicate petals, floral art.
With intricate beauty, at nature’s heart.

But fate's cruel twist did intervene.
In the form of a boy in wonder, unforeseen.
Ceramic crystals gleamed the floor.
A slip of hand, once a vase, no more.

The boy's eyes wide, in lavender haze.
As destiny did a dance of grace.
The minutes grew with the ticks of the clock.
The boy’s heart raced and met the clock.

With urgency in his eyes and determination strong.
He vowed to fix the vase, right the wrong.
Careful fingers, he worked with care.
Each shard aligned, a perfect pair.

A tapestry of memories adorned its form.
A vessel of love, weathered yet warm.
And just as the final piece fell into place.
A smile gleamed from the boy's weary face.

Footsteps approached, his heart skipped a beat.
The boy hurried, with swift, nimble feet.
As the door creaked open, his mother appeared.
Surprised and amazed, her worries cleared.

The boy smiled, a secret he would keep
From his mother, the truth would forever sleep
For within that smile, a tale went untold
Of a love so pure, worth more than gold.

And as the days flowed on, forevermore,
Even after an endless pour.
In a quiet living room, the vase stood tall.
A fragile beauty admired by all.
