The Sound of Your Voice

somethingdeep

I hear the ocean waves crashing against each other

Dancing together so beautifully, singing in harmony, but that’s nothing compared to you

You call me from far away

making rainbows and the stars at night seem as simple as blue skies

Turning every beautiful sunrise, glistening oceans and skies into a sound

Your voice like one of angel

Mayne they couldn't even compare, you’re beyond any of that you’re like a dream,

I can't help but stare

I watch you as you come closer to me, bringing butterflies along your way

Could you also bring my heart back, I’ll be waiting by the bay

But then your voice tells me that I should not stay, are you saying that together we should run away?

Like romeo and juliet, a love oh so sweet

If it only  were the two of us I would finally be at peace

And as I walk onto to the water,

the cold stabs my feet

Yet sacrifice and love they go hand in hand

So who cares for the cold when a life without you is what’s at land

I fantasize of your touch with every step I take

I bet you didn’t show yourself for my sake

Maybe if I catch a glimpse I will never wake, for you beauty must outshine everything in this world

I bet you’re so gorgeous that it hurts

Is that my dear why you hide away

Scared a man might die from your gaze

I won’t make promises I can’t keep, but trust when I say that I will never leave

My feet can’t touch the sand so this is truly where it starts

From this moment forward we should never be apart

I swim towards the sound of a singing bird

Then my eyes lay upon a creature which looks like I’ve heard

I feel my heart beating in my chest

The cold water also seems stressed

As waves crash upon me, I hear a beautiful laugh

Is this memory of your jet black eyes going to be my last?

Can you blame this sad fisherman in search of more

What he thought that he could find in the ocean floor

Can you blame such a poor lonely soul?

Even if he’s read the books and knew the stories

Has seen others taken far from families

The sound of a siren's voice could turn any man helpless, I am no exception

It can turn any man weak, like it's done to me

Yet even as I know there will be flowers by my name, I can't help but smile when she exclaims

Even as the words are so mean

As I close my eyes it still feels so sweet.
