Hypnosis - literary miniature

Natalie Gladmir

Hand in hand, they resolutely stepped into the hypnotherapist's office. A woman quite often had a question about stopping mutual dependence with the help of hypnosis. The progressive method captivated both of them. The desire for reality without illusions, fantasies and self-deception inspired soulmates to this experience.

Having set comfortably on the couches, the experimenters closed their eyelids and breathed a sigh of relief. The monotonous voice of the hypnotist plunged those thirsting for renewal and enlightenment into a deep sleep. Such relaxation was truly a reward for long months of mental anguish and torment. At the end of the session, a sharp click of the doctor's knuckles brought the patients out of the trance.

Looking around, the man noticed a woman on the next couch and whispered inaudibly:

     - How cute! Who is she? It feels like I've seen her somewhere.

Waking up, the lady glanced at the unfamiliar faces and wondered:

      - And what kind of a person is next to me? It seems I know him. He is definitely native to me.

In less than a minute, both blurted out:

       - We met somewhere.

       - Let’s continue our acquaintance, - the man tried to insist.

       - With pleasure, - his companion agreed.
