I tried, but I give up

peal

I try to be nice

I try to be polite

But I hurt my pride

When I stare into your eyes

A good rhyme that is

But what difference does it make

Whan I'm the only one who bleeds

I feel it calling my name

But I don’t understand why you would care

Another good rhyme, I feel

Maybe I should quit and get real

Friends don’t last for ever

If they leave it's their time

If they stay I cry

Sometimes I still believe

That there is someone waiting for me

But then I realised

That even if I plead

There is no one waiting for me

I'll give up

I'll leave

I hope my next life

Will end with me pleased

    really well written
I like the duality in your poetic voice
and a subject, most can relate to
    thanks for sharing
