TO ONE IN HEAVEN

nephilim56

If in a paler moonlight
Or a brighter sunshine
You could speak
I would if tears allow
In a better place
The only place you know.

Tell you of circumstance
And my weakness
A poets weakness
For your perfect soul to judge
This old and weary fool
Who mourns you.

It is impossible..alas
To bring you back
Nor mistakes erase
To sing your praise
In a paler moonlight
Or a brighter day.
