You Don’t See Me

Freedomwriter77

Sleeping on the concrete floor, so many of those who ignore.
So many of us hungry with nothing to eat. So many of us in poverty or living in the street.

You see nothing cuz you don’t see me. All you see is poverty and nothing for you to offer. You have the power because you have the money and you have everything except a kind heart.

So many people in the street because of you and your cold heart. Your busy having feasts and cooked food while others dig thru trash too. You have everything but give nothing.

So if having money means being like you then I don’t want it because I’d rather have God see me then you see me cuz God sees my heart and you have none.

  • Comment from author about the poem: An insider look of the homeless population in the cities of America. See a first person perspective of what it's like to be homeless in a city full of wealthy people. This story will make you question yourself and how others see you in the world. For people who don't " fit in " or feel misunderstood by the world around them. This is for you. So, don't let anyone make you feel less than your worth. Always know that your life has meaning and God has more in store for you then you know.
