August's Seaside Encounter

pesto

As July comes to an end,

And August takes its start,

August...

Once again, I find myself lost in the clouds,

Once again, I am drawn to the sea.

The sea...

Both frightening and tranquil,

Mysterious, yet liberating.

I begin to tread barefoot, feeling free,

As the ocean waves caress my feet.

How is it that such serenity can be given and taken away so easily?

I release my burdens, embracing the sea,

Finding solace in its serenity.

The sun bids farewell, just as I bid him farewell,

Once again, I find myself by the sea,

Where golden sands meet my feet,

Where the fiery sky meets the sea,

Where I once met him.
