Red shoes sit
rosey petals serenely smile
connecting you to the grass
with each and every step
you walk with a tenderness talking
a softness singing
connecting you grounding you
and it could be that a rose rests with you
a tenderness sits surrounding your feet
and each and every step is easy
red shoes sit and like Dorothy
we can walk with a protection
a rosey sparkle at our feet
friendly flowers stand on that yellow brick road that we can sometimes struggle to walk on
the wall can feel kinder safer easier
red roses smiles shoes sing
and we could be like that rosey flower
yet one who’s able to take a walk
instead of simply sitting every day in the same place
only ever dreaming of walking and being elsewhere
red shoes petals at our feet
walking with a tenderness
grounded so strongly that even the weary wind can’t take us away from our centre
the talking trees can’t make us feel unlike ourselves
and we can walk without feeling like a bird only wishing to touch the ground
feeling of being away from our sense of who we are
those red shoes keeping us carefully connected
tender and with ourselves at all times
