In Every Universe

I just know that I have loved you in every universe

And I just know that I have suffered this same pain in every universe

I have loved you and had my heart broken like this

An infinite amount of times over

Yet you are oblivious to my suffering

Because I put on a happy face when you're around

 

Who knew love could be this painful?

Certainly not I

I had only heard stories of heartbreak this deep

And heartache this painful

Before this year came along

 

My only wish at the moment

Would be for this universe to be an anomaly to the rest

Where we fall in love and eventually get married

 

I know I'm being delusional

And that won't ever happen

But I enjoy these delusions,

Even though they might not be healthy
