KARNATAKA

Jerusha PS Barnabas

Journey of miles

Collecting memories and smiles

Even though time flies

Formed on 1st November 1956

History notes down in scripts

To make the best out of what it gets

The garden city or

Also known as Mysore

The gem of tourism and more

Known for its heritage and wildlife

And its most historic designs

Giving out its love, So divine

Karnataka one of the oldest regions

And the one with coldest seasons

With many many museums

Its age-old monuments

And many other ornaments

As historic as it gets

Centuries of legacy

Making its heritage weave

Building its kings and queens

It’s got magical hill stations

Waterfalls, increasing our temptations

And beaches for a vacation

Bangalore, a place I was born in

Where my childhood has been

Travelled through thick and thin

A few bad days of pain

But its atmosphere and rain

Made me never to complain

A place I call my home

A tigress born to roam

A shelter from all storms; Shalom
