My fake life

[email protected]

In my fake life, I play a part,
But it's tearing me up, it's breaking my heart.
I smile and laugh, but it's all for show,
And deep down, I'm aching, I'm feeling so low.

I long for a life that's true and real,
Where I can be myself and truly feel.
But in my fake life, I must pretend,
And it's wearing me down, it's driving me round the bend.

I try to be happy, but it's hard to fake,
And my soul is yearning, it's about to break.
I want to be real, to let down my guard,
But in my fake life, it's just too hard.

So I'll keep on going, I'll play the game,
But inside, I'm screaming, I'm feeling the pain.
For in my fake life, I'm all alone,
And my heart is heavy as a stone.

But I know that someday, I'll break free,
And I'll live a life that's true to me.
I'll be myself, I'll be real and true,
And in that moment, I'll feel brand new.
