In Fact

bobfallon

It must have been in Smallville that a factory

was built to build new facts out of thin air.

It was very profitable and taxed not at all,

they called it a charity, to feed a wealthy pocketbook,

it turns out to be a bottomless pit,

like a sewer with voting rights,

and by all reports, sleeps very well at night.

The Hard Right was what they named the place,

because to get there

you took away a right then another right,

and then another right,

and that brought you right to the place

where they built a fact factory

to make up facts

out of thin air,

or did I say that,

it's a fact.

'it turns out to be a bottomless pit,
like a sewer with voting rights,
and by all reports, sleeps very well at night.'
acute imagery, the rage is palpable
    what can we do
but share and hope more people
    recognise it, too
    thank you!

I found this to be quite a fact laden read. It makes this reader recognize the very politics I believe this to be based upon. Very well written...and that's a fact
