Echoes of a Muted Soul

Harristotle

Beneath the skin, it creeps in, slow,

Once mine, now snatched away.

Whispers once, now battle cries,

Yet to you, silence holds sway.

Thoughts abound, but words do lack,

Yearning for their stage.

This fight within tears me apart,

A soul once whole, now caged.

A labyrinth of thoughts entwined,

Within, my voice concealed.

Seeking solace in the ink,

Expressions unrevealed.

Each line I pen, a subtle thread,

To mend the rifts unseen.

Through verses, I reclaim my voice,

In written words, I gleam.

Yet battles rage, both fierce and sly,

An endless tug-of-war.

But ink and heart, they intertwine,

My spirit to restore.

Silent whispers, no more bound,

On paper, they ignite.

A poet's soul, now unconfined,

Embracing freedom's light.

The flow and rhyme to this poem makes reading it a sheer pleasure. The imagery and truth, within as well, just further identify the meaning and truly make this a fantastic write
