Eternal Rule Of The Game

A B

Eternal Rule Of The Game

His love’s translations

Lost in time’s tyranny

She seethes with bitter love

Is it life’s antimony?

The fountain is poisoned

The goatherd is dead

The writer’s oeuvre

Remains unread

The lovers obey

The eternal rule

To wreak and unwind

Their pellicle spool

My lover, my killer

Your dagger drawn

Confusion confounds us

Every move thrawn

I want you to

Play the restorative lyre

Pull out this thing

Cast on parting’s fire
