Love and friendships

Some people are like branches on a tree,

They look strong, but thier really weak 

They swing and bend with every breeze,

And they'll fool you to trust and believe 

 

Others are like the leaves that stay,

They'll never break your trust or leave you hang They'll stay with you through thick and thin,And they'll always be a good friend.

 

But then there's love, like roots that grow,

Deep down beneath the earth below,

It holds us steady through the years,

And wipes away all of our doubts and fears 

 

Some people are like the wind that blows,

They come and go, nobody knows,

They leave us feeling lost and alone,

And leave our hearts like broken bones 

 

Others are like a one night stand,

They're here and gone, like shifting sand,

They leave us feeling used and hurt,

And we wish we'd never had that flirt.

 

But then there's love again that is steady like a flame That burns within us, but are never the same,And it fills our hearts with warmth and light,And guides us through the darkest night.

 

There's people that claim they are inlove but before you know They play with hearts and cause us pain,And leave us feeling hurt and drained.They hide away and play their games,

And leave us feeling so ashamed,

 

If you have a few good loyal friends that are your root,And planted deep to stay, then you're blessed in every single way As those are the kind of friends that are here to stay

A tree can have a million branches, But it's the roots that keep it grounded like glue its your foundation of  life you surround yourself in thrugh and thrugh.

 

If you find some roots that keep you grounded and strong,Hold onto them tight and strong and nothing will go wrong,

Let the others go on and find their own way,

For true friends are the ones that are here to stay.

 

If you find your people who truly care,

Keep them rooted in your tree, they're rare,

Let the fake ones go, they're not worth your time,True friends are the ones that make life feel alive
