The Heart and its Desires

Abhinav Ramachandran

Bottled up thoughts and emotions,

Battling all those preconceived notions,

The approach is easy on the surface,

But I got lots on my mind and heartbreak is not my life's purpose,

Didn't know how to begin,

Words fell short as nervousness crept in,

She meant a lot to me and my heart began to give in,

Kept thinking about her as she was the one I could find my peace and comfort in,

The matters of the heart are complicated,

The approach is easy on the surface,

But I got lots on my mind and heartbreak is not my life's purpose
