Her

B. Frost

A light tint in a color of red
A friend to few in the time ahead

Sandy with black running through the ember
The chilly air in a breeze to remember

A smile so wide a dream until the end
Sewn by resilience a stitch to the mend

A pearl in the color of white
Clear to seek in the cover of night

Loyalty to one in both heart and mind
A foundation fundamentally not far left behind

The definition between the shades upon the face
A count of four steps added to the grace

A cushion beneath to soften the blow
A tied knot centers the bow

A blonde sits a top at the end of a tip
A thirst to be quenched a blue with each sip

Keep safe from harm a duty to protect
A bond binds two-to-one nurture without neglect

Memories kept close recall them at will
A long time between a heartbeat to feel

In the days spent together the pulse did not defer
Picture perfect minutes in the time spent with her
