A ladybird sits safely on a window

Violet bluebell( used to be yellow rose)

A ladybird sits safely on a window

in her red dress with circles of the nights sky

she sits silently safely

looking into the house , maybe

wandering at the walls where someone else lives

seeing a room with her little eyes

sitting safely on a window when once she had her little friendly feet lightly tenderly on the grass

as if like a bird yet smaller invisible sometimes unnoticed sighing

maybe she wishes to be seen

so she stands on a window looking in near to a girl sitting safely on a chair

so small so bright eyed

little ladybird sits in a new place

looking in wandering at the walls where someone else lives

wishing to be seen by someone in another space

wishing to be seen by that girl by the window

Little ladybird in red dress is often invisible hiding in cushions of the grass

sitting on a leaf

she may sigh when not seen

there may be others near to her

yet so small that she has to find a way to be noticed

as much as that beautiful bird flying the sky

so she sits on a pink chair when others are outside

she sits on a window where a girl may have the chance of seeing her little friendly red rose dress

and she waits and is seen

someone noticed

someone in a space apart yet near ti her living in their own mind

with their own smiles with their own troubled sighs

noticed her presence

her friendly nature

the way her colours sit

and the way the little ladybird matters too

and maybe just maybe the little ladybird smiled

Because she was noticed that day

      Yes , Thankyou teddy 🙂

There was one outside the kitchen window she seemed to be struggling so my sister put her on a little leaf and back onto the grass .. then a few days before that there was one outside the living room window .. it seemed to be caught in a spiders web .. my sister saved that one aswell 🙂

I think they are lovely .. and thought it would be nice to write about one again

      Glad you enjoyed my poem

Here in the states, we call them ladybugs, but I think that ladybird describes the delicacy of these beautiful little creatures so much better. Your love of nature shines through in this charming poem dear friend, simply to notice it makes a day better. Thank you!
