Days Like These

Surucipe

Days filled with such play and pleasure,
Days in which joy is the moment's ruler,
Days when we forget the meaning of melancholy.

They piece my soul back together,
String by string they work to mend my heart,
Watching the benevolence flow out from all those I am with,
Each conversation of innocent and wonderful content and consideration,
In awe of beautiful and happy faces enveloped with harmonious mirth and serenity,
As our freedom works its magic;
A reminder that everything is going to be alright.

On days like these I remember how much fun it is to simply smile.
