Jesus Bee

yanbee

How does a fish become a bee?
Koi fish - they say they represent love and strength and bravery and all those other virtues glorified by Western society.
What does the East say?
I can't say I'm cultured enough to know, pretty bird, but did you know-
Those perfect little koi fish, with scales of a golden calico blend, like coffee - golden, exotic, made superficial and meretricious by the West -
In days of old, were the treasured live ornaments of Japanese royalty.
Now, they decorate the homes of every human magpie.
Little rich Koi Fish; queen's crown; king's heart
Swam against the current
Turned worthless
Scales gleaming all the same
Until it burst from the waters, droplets soaring like crystal arrowheads
And there, breaking free of the water, it was baptised
Born again
From fish
To bee
