Momentous Junctures

The Dreamer

Flowing time, laughing heart,
Excitement unbound, moments profound,
Joys unparked, mind resting yet sparked,
Sorrows unseen, all negatives lost gleam,
Worldly affairs, like "soya" without the "bean",
Memories recorded, both peaks and pits, lessons well learnt with mistake that hits,
The moments when ended, emptiness it follows, for time quite narrow tempts heart to borrow,
Rejected! Then burrows the heart with sorrows,
Why borrow? Memories long gone?
When new moments, they born, every count we form,
Just expand collection, if old the view!
Be it with same or people anew....

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hey there! Hope you all are fine 😁 I tried to write in a different style this time, i know my vocabulary is quite weak but I am working on it, hope you all like this piece. P.S:- The poet who inspired me to try this style was "Liz" (she is one of our community poet), although I know it is nowhere close to her level 😝. Anyways, many thanks to her!!

'Worldly affairs, like "soya" without the "bean",'
    modernity's obsession with bone aesthetic
devoid of the marrow meaning, in our living..
(I'm sure Liz will be proud
she helped inspire such insightful words
    of poetic commentary)
    thanks for sharing

Thank you! I will keep improving,
To be honest at first I thought people might not get the "soya" part, but looks like I was worrying for nothing, as nothing stops us poets from understanding each other 😌
