Pink butterfly or line of a rainbow

Violet bluebell( used to be yellow rose)

A pink butterfly sits on the serene sea , dancing

two sides of her singing of soft petals

on the blues and on the waves

the wandering waters that allow her to be still

that allow her to dance with those pink wings

made of that one line of the rainbow

the one standing smile that sings of softness

sitting on the serene sea

a part of a rainbow moves to the blues of another place

travelling to balance by golden smiling sands

she sits one part of a whole

in a new place

held by wandering waters

held by the blues

always  present by the singing sand made of lovely settled lines

or sometimes with those sandcastles

a place that has been helped  to be that little bit more

because of someone else’s want and wish to build something different

a pink butterfly sits on the  serene sea

a part of rainbow sits on wandering safe waters

two sides of her , complete

or just a part of a standing rainbow divided from the other parts of her real self

yet standing safely held by the blue balanced waves

  • Comment from author about the poem: My sister gave me few words to use in this poem .. butterfly , pink and sea . I guess there’s a mention of that feeling of being complete / incomplete Feeling like a part who maybe feels in the distance Yeah I’m probably talking of my dissociation a little in this one But yes all parts of us need to feel safe / calm / looked after and in a nice place And yeah I always think butterfly’s look delicate and pretty , gentle

I really wish I had penned the following words ..

"a part of a rainbow moves to the blues of another place

travelling to balance by golden smiling sands

she sits one part of a whole
    in a new place" ..

Nice! You're right, all parts of us have the need to feel safe, calm, and looked after. Butterflies symbolize change, transformation....rebirth...hope! I personally like black butterflies. They're rare. But then again, I'm a little goth so no surprise there!! Lovely read! 🩷

Hi liz .. Thankyou 🙂 I love butterflies .. I often see white butterflies or those ones with red or orange / or even yellow sometimes

I’m not sure ever seen black ones

Yes , change.. I have been going through a spiritual awakening for a while ..

      Glad you enjoyed my poem

Oh my! A wonderfully intense process isn't it? I can relate. Higher, deeper mental awareness. Which brings joy...but also tears. Letting go, finding peace etc. Rooting for you! 💛

Pretty in pink, your butterfly flits so gracefully from line to line, through all those lovely places. Beautiful write!

A shift in mood dear Rose, I felt very seren reading this. I love the imagery of the butterfly dancing on the ripples 💖

Maybe it's not a pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow, but a place where all the butterflies live. Beautiful images here, "her singing of soft petals," "present by the singing sands made of lovely, settled lines." I love the ocean. You've used it brilliantly here to perpetuate your "butterfly" images.
