A new Beginning

A hint of hesitation in everything she does
unsure always how she will be perceived
The faith that she had all her life
contradicted everything she ever believed

Things around changed, people changed
all she did was to try and adjust
But the perceptions that others had on her
without knowing her, was all so unjust

She cried a lot, suffered in silence
expecting things to get fine someday
However the situations never got better
thus her faith slowly faded away

The misery seeped in, days got gloomier
nothing really felt good within
She began to lose her identity
lamenting about how things had initially been

As the days passed by,she got mentally stronger
trying not to be impacted by the negativity around
But deep within it still bothered her
the peace she looked for, was never found

With the years passing by, she chose to give a damn
to everything and everyone that hurt her
She could find no way out, to feel better
nothing to get the pain blur

Though the experiences are still etched in her mind
the days have slightly gone better
She has come to realise at last
that not everything and everyone should matter

As all that we wish for cannot be fulfilled
there is no point being snappy
She chose to look at the brighter side of life
chose to focus on being happy
