Practical Pursuals

Tune: Breslau

('God is a name my soul adores')

Romans 12 v.9-13

******

Let love be without false show, see

There no dissimulation be

And nor tend to hypocrisy

But true and honest, sincerely

Abhor that which is evil, cleave

To that which is good, it receive

Be kindly affectioned one to

Another, and your love renew

In honour prefer each other

Each one, be sister or brother

And be not slothful in business

But being diligent, no less

Be fervent in spirit, serving

The Lord, yourselves unto Him bring

Rejoice in hope, and be patient

In tribulation, not relent

Continue on steadfast in prayer

All matters with your Lord do share

Distribute, help to meet folk's needs

And planting of the gospel's seeds

Thanks N. Doh! I thought it was practical. St Paul does not seem too hyper-spiritual, but remembers practical things. He was a tent-maker too. 'You made them tents yet, Paul?' I said, when I was standing in the rain waiting for him to finish one. lol.

I love this Orchi, especially the last stanza. Would that we would all take it to heart.
