It’s easy to walk away from you, when your heart is not as true as your mouth
You say you’ll do whatever to make this marriage work, but your actions are not devout
You make promises that go on for a week or two, but promises that you won’t keep
If I had the chance to leave and abandon my heart, my love, I’d make that leap
This song, I believe I’ve heard before and it doesn’t end that swell
My eyes, they tell the tale I hope, if not it’s truly hell

if we keep on jumping from one bad relationship to another
we have to ask, if we're the problem
since we
are the common denominator in all
our relationships..
first thing to consider
how are we choosing our partners
and why?
if we keep on choosing people
with the same traits
then we already have an easy fix to work with...
(a relatable write, thanks for sharing
sorry if my words seem toxic
or i'm accusing you of anything
that wasn't my intent)
No apology necessary. I welcome constructive criticism. I couldn’t agree with you more. There are definitely unresolved issues that need work within. However, I do believe no two loves are alike and I believe in destiny. Moreover, it is true that if one ends in the same situation with a completely different partner, one may conclude that the same mistakes were made. To that affect, while taking all facets into consideration, I’ve recently made that same discovery, vis-a-vis I’m being the problem.
