THE OTHER ME

nephilim56

Within me theres a silent scream
That others cannot see
Trapped within my deeper self
I call it the other me.

He hides behind a smile sometimes
To disguise his inner pain
A mask of which he has many
Mentally ill but not insane.

His rooms are dark and sigh
Meloncholy upon a wing
He listens to his music
But never lets anyone in.

His depression has always been
Even before he realised what it was
It doesnt show like a broken leg
Its deep inside because

The more he fights gloom it falls
Into  each restless night
Each moment burns into an hour
As he tries with all his might.

To reach a dawn few people know
It lies between two distant places
One is made of calm and warmth
The other is cold and hopeless.
