WITNESS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

I witnessed your tears
From a gifted moment
Distance no barrier
My minds eye focused.

Unable to reach
So far away
Just a lone tear falls
In thought to say.

I witnessed your pain
Your grief and dispair
Your reach to the heavens
But I couldnt be there.

Thin fingers began
Ink and paper and thought
While alcove ghosts
In shadow were caught.

Yes, I witnessed your tears
As the long veil it fell
Deeper and deeper
Breaking the spell.
