Something I heard once
“Stars can't shine without darkness”
So this dark period of my life
Will hopefully lead to me shining brighter than the sun
After I get out of this rut
But this rut is also a mountain
That I want to run to the top of
And scream to the heavens and the stars
About how deep my love is for you
Or run through fields screaming your name
What if we did exist though?
I'd drag you to the tops of those mountains
And through those fields
Loving every second of that experience
I wish I could tell you that I like you
Or at least that I'm queer
But it'll take a while for you to get used to that knowledge
Which will make it awkward between us
Which would kill me even more
And I'd need to wait for a good time to tell you,
For the right time to tell you
But waiting for the right time
Would mean waiting forever

Right? Doesn't it feel like forever when we want to say so much, but can't find the right words, the right time, the right circumstance? Those dark times can teach us so much though. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt piece!
