peace is at ease
peace is always there for you
while peace lingers, everyone else leaves you to rest
but peace is scared
peace fades because it doesn't know how to stay around
peace is a coward
so when its lingering, and you are resting, I am hurting
while I'm crying
while I struggle to eat my lunch
when my trauma is playing over and over and over again
you are at peace because you stole that from me.
