Summer Memories

Firefall

It was a hot humid night

But our skin burned hotter still

A taste of liquid fire on your lips

Ignited a flame I couldn’t kill

Sweaty bodies tangled in the night's embrace

Drops from our essence forever mixed

Joining two souls across time and space

With a bond that can’t be forgotten

    a Beautiful read
especially like how there's no preamble
your lines dive straight in and never surfaced
till you painted your vividly succinct scene..
thank you for sharing, dear poet
what a great showcasing of your wonderful talent

Thank you. Your encouragement is very much appreciated. I struggle because by nature I am very precise with my words. I feel like I am not creative when comparing myself to others who have the ability, the gift to have beautiful words flow.

be kind to yourself dear poet
        only compare yourself, to yourself
we all use the same words
but no one else can tell our truth
        let that be enough
        and enjoy the ride!
(don't i sound so pretentious) lol
        forgive me
