LISTENING TO ESSEX

nephilim56

The day has surrendered
To the sweet lips of night
In silence of seduction
Your smile within the light.

A room we often shared
Memories do not leave
Just arise to sometimes haunt
As leaves upon the breeze.

My hungry gaze carressed you
My lips to rest on yours
Your smile so close to tears
My words with you did flirt.

We loved within a moment
As if our time was measured
And that it proved to be
Though its memories are treasured.

I love the rhyme and my heart skipped a beat beautifully expressed right till the end. 💖
