Claustrophobia

PrimalHeaven

Seated in a dimly lit room

She waits for her

Lost breath

To return.

The walls embrace her

Her thoughts aflutter

There is no escape from

The bleakness.

She screams and she cries.

The space has become dark

And the stones

Are closing in on her.

She weeps inside

The void.

Silence...

What has happened?

Where has she gone?

Inside the nothing

There is only a complete

And total

Quiet.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Wrote this for my mom after she had a panic attack while closed into a tight space (a fake casket we had to stand in for 5 mins) at a christian horror show walkthrough and she had to explain what clausphobia was to me after I helped her through it.
