Memories of Olivia..one year later

jmlpoeticblues

Still missing the sweet and tender lady of song

Since my high school days back in 1971 I embraced her music as a virtual freind

....when things always seemingly went wrong.

Her music always made my day, when all the other chicks snubbed me and turned away.

Her pretty face, pretty hair and soft etheral voice reminded me of a dear cheerleader freind

Who in 1972 was killed in a head-on car collision when hit by someone who was driving drunk

The same girl who just one week before helped find me a prom date before she passed away.

It seems to me ever since then that all the good girls are precious, sincere and rare

I embraced her magical music throughout my teens and twenties to this very day

Her voice and radiant feminine beauty and her brand of "in 'yo face" cheerfulness

Is now so heartbreakingly and sorrowfully missed.

My prayers go out to her for her heavenly repose

It always seems that the good people die young

Yet her memory lives on

This world is in desperate need of sweet and cheerful women

Filled with faith, hope, love and joy

(You too dear Chloe, your mom lived her example)

Someday the devil and his demons will suffer their hellish fate

The Kingdom of Heaven will ultimately reign joyously ever so great

When the last will be the first and the first will be last

..and the New Heaven and New Earth with it.

Eternal joy will replace the evil past!
