Snakey

peto

A life of almost total bliss

Is traded for her fatal kiss

Her practised stylish whispered hiss

For snakey there's no sin

Wrapped up against the constant frost

A tax tops up the priceless cost

A heart that breaks for children lost

For snakey there's no sin

She prays to find another way

Forgets about the price to pay

In seedy bars is where she'll stay

For snakey there's no sin

The men will come and they will go

Mere extras in her talent show

The friend had left but not the foe

For snakey there's no sin

She turned her head to see he stayed

The only one who never paid

She let herself be gently swayed

When snakey shed her skin

Ah, I have a sister like this, I do find this incredibly sad how a women can manipulate her way through life and I often wonder if some even realize they are doing it, but then it's the same way for men, my first love was.like this. I learnt so much from him, I was lucky never to have married him or have children. But I do feel for men and women who go that much further hoping it's love and it turns out to be a poetry book. ❤️

I love the way you have framed the profile of one who seems to need constant gratification/validation. Who knows why they do it, but it seems she's stumbled upon the one person who holds the key. Great write my friend!
