To live a life in black and white
I saw how our worlds collide
Now, I've realized-- I hate spotlight
The thing I want is a sunlight
Life in colours is so much clearer
As I saw myself in front of a mirror
Standing with morals and dignity
Ready to face the reality
It's time to turn off the camera
As life shouldn't happen in an opera
Today, I was me-- a real me
Where I don't need to be edited by Redime
The cold air hits my hair as soon as the flower blooms
The sunlight hits me and there I saw a moon
Every step I take,
Leads me to a million dreams to make
The path is now clearer
To make my life better
As I live behind the scene
How good it is not to commit a sin
A lost girl with so many fears
Is now ready to wipe off her tears
I was so much more than you know
Better than in every ripped photo of mine I sew.

- Comment from author about the poem: way back in pre-pandemic days, I know in myself that I am not that confident to show who I am. As time passed by, I saw my worth and I am now able to love myself beyond others. through this poem, I was able to express how much I discovered my self-worth, and now that I am free to show myself without filters, and insecurities, this time I can do whatever I dreamed of because I have the freedom to show myself and at the same time I free myself from my cage. finally, this is me. I am me.
