Restless

mrharrell

It is said, they were restless,

Yearned for more than what they were experiencing,

Their eyes forever looking to the sky,

Arms outstretched to reach the stars.

It is said they fitted in everywhere and nowhere,

Making friends where they went, yet feeling so lost and alone.

Then one day,

They were gone.

Their wings no longer clipped and the chains, broken.

It is said, they went home to the stars and the sky,

Free to roam, to see sights and places they often dreamt of.
