Survival

Heba George

We survived on to the next era;

From all the umpteen difficulties.

Non-amicable disputes;

presumptuous mindsets,

though nothing of all is gonna change.

Times doesn’t constrain.

It constrains us.

With its formidable time,

feeling more lethargic over time.

How long do we survive?

In this incongruous lifestyle.

Will there be freedom?

A shade array of light?

away from mysticism to

the liberation of survival.

  • Comment from author about the poem: It\\\'s a personal poem that holds strong feelings in my heart. Even though, it has a tone of melancholy and despair; I wrote this from my envision of survival or a sense of freedom to the next era of life that awaits.
